Most VIZIO TV problems are fixed by a power cycle: unplug the TV from the wall for 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on. If that doesn’t help, find your symptom below.
Press Input and select the correct source. Check that the HDMI cable is firmly connected at both ends, and try a different cable or port.
Make sure the TV isn’t muted. In Menu > Audio, confirm TV Speakers is on (or set to Auto). If you use a soundbar, check its input and power.
Replace the batteries. Remove anything blocking the TV’s sensor. Use the buttons on the TV itself or the VIZIO Mobile app as a temporary remote.
Check your internet connection, power-cycle the TV, and install any pending firmware update.
Restart your router and the TV. Move the router closer or switch to Ethernet. See Connect to Wi-Fi.
Open Menu > Picture and try a different picture mode, such as Calibrated or Standard.

Reset to factory settings

If nothing else works, a factory reset returns the TV to its out-of-box state and erases your settings and apps.
1

Open System settings

Press Menu and select System.
2

Find reset options

Select Reset & Admin, then Reset TV to Factory Settings.
3

Confirm

Enter your parental code if prompted (the default is often 0000) and confirm. Then repeat first-time setup.

If that didn’t work

Contact official VIZIO Support with your TV model number, serial number (on the back label), and a description of the problem.
